Yayasan AMIR is a not-for-profit foundation incorporated on 26 October 2010 to improve accessibility of quality education in public schools through a Public-Private Partnership in Malaysia, via the establishment of a Trust Schools Network.
The Yayasan AMIR Trust Schools Network aims to be a leading network of Trust Schools all across Malaysia which is holistic in nature, inclusive and representative of Malaysia’s diverse ethnic background. It is a priority education sector initiative aimed at setting up a replicable school transformation model on a nationwide scale.
Yayasan AMIR is governed by a Board of Trustees, which comprises a good blend of corporate stewards and experienced educationists. It is in charge of determining the vision of the Trust Schools Programme, driving the programme and sourcing for sponsorships from the private sector. Yayasan AMIR’s first sponsor is Khazanah Nasional Berhad, and it will be looking to procure more sponsorships in the immediate future.
