DTP-AMAN

Launched in 2018 as "Projek AMAN" in Kedah, DTP-AMAN is a collaboration between Yayasan AMIR, LeapEd Services and Yayasan Hasanah - conceived to implement a whole-state education transformation. Recognising that sustainable change requires systemic intervention, the programme aimed to impact all three components of the state education system:
-
JABATAN PENDIDIKAN NEGERI (JPN)
-
PEJABAT PENDIDIKAN DAERAH (PPD)
-
SCHOOLS
The programme was later rebranded as DTP-AMAN to align with the MOE's District Transformation Programme 3.0
(DTP 3.0), emphasizing its integration into national education reform efforts.
DTP-AMAN'S IMPLEMENTATION IS GUIDED BY
TWO INTERRELATED WORK TRACKS
-
ORGANISATIONAL ENHANCEMENT (OE)
Focusing on building the capacity of JPN and PPD officers to develop innovative strategies for improving organizational culture and driving school transformation.
-
PPD-LED TRANSFORMATION (PLT)
Empowering SIPs, SISCs and PPD Officers to scaffold school transformation by working closely with Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs) in schools, initiating context-specific solutions to unique challenges.
KEY COMPONENTS OF THE PROGRAMME
-
CAPACITY BUILDING
Conducted through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions focusing on change leadership, instructional leadership, and school improvement planning.
-
COLLABORATIVE CLUSTERS
Schools were grouped into clusters to foster collaboration and shared learning experiences.
-
MONITORING AND EVALUATION
Regular assessments and feedback mechanisms were established to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the interventions.
The project focuses on strengthening relationships with JPN and PPD in Kedah through 3 cycles of CPD workshops for both targeted groups. The main objective of these workshops is to serve as a platform for learning, sharing and understanding of what can be undertaken to achieve shared goals, by enhancing the capability and capacity of personnel within the JPN and PPD to provide better support to the schools in their improvement efforts.
By the end of its three-year implementation in 2020, DTP-AMAN had positively impacted 64 schools across all 9 PPDs in Kedah, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative leadership.
